Another Pixie Hollow book

Iridessa is a light-talent fairy who works hard and tries to be perfect. When she is frightened by an owl one night, she recruits her friend Tinker Bell to help her figure out how to scare the owl away. Tink's adventuresome nature leads them on a risky trip to Captain Hook's pirate ship, where they become trapped in a bottle. Before their adventure is over, they meet a crocodile, a turtle, some flying fish, mermaids, and a blue crab.
This is an exciting story for girls 7-8, who will be delighted with Iridessa's solution to the owl problem.

Based on what my daughter says...

I will NOT lie and say I have read this book. I haven't. But my daughter loves fairies, pixies, and all such creatures. She plays the online games and even has a box of costumes for fairies. She was a fairy for Halloween. You get the idea.
We are African American and Iridessa is the Black character. She loves the White and Asian characters, too (I am not sure if there is one that is Latina...my apologies).
This is why I decided to buy this one first, for the self-image value.
The name "Iridessa" sounds like one of those older women that sat on the pew with my great-grandmother when I was a child and helped with communion, but I give Disney credit for trying.
My daughter loved the story and the art seems nice. She is now reading the book about Silvermist.

MY DAUGHTER (age 8) CHOSE TO FINISH THIS OVER TV!!!!!

I am beyond delighted with these books and have been buying them as often as possible eventually I will have them all for my daughter. She is 8 & I hate the TV. I like movies, but I don't like an 8 year old staring into it as if they are in a trance, I bought one cuz she's sooo addicted to the Disney Faries -- even her room is ALL Faries, her bedding, walls, everything.. soo I got this and she wouldn't put it down :D YAY! She didn't even ASK to watch one of her DVD's (she's 8) instead she was holloring "MOM!!! guess what Vidia did to Fawn!*SMILING* she was so absorbed and I smiled all night long. I've always read to her everynight even when she was a few days old I'd sit in my nighttime baby wont sleep rocker and read those soft baby books to her. I always havebought her books and she has nothing short of a small llibrary in her room lol. However NOTHING...
NOTHING.. EVER...... Has made her just sit and become lost in a book that deep. Last night she read another one. This series has worked miricles! like SHE NOW GOES TO BED...NO FUSS AT ALL!!!!!!GET THIS! ~~~~ AT 7:30 - so she can read until 9.. ALSO there has been many times now that I don't even HAVE to say time for bed because she's already in her ammies, teeth brushed and under the covers with her nose stuck inside a Disney Fairy book! I'm sooo greatful for AMAZON PRIME because I can have another shipped knowing it (or they) will be here when she's done. Also the prices are great with prime.. no shipping cost -receive in 2 days - and makes it the same and many times less that the book would cost at the store and you dont have to leave home. For me? Thats awesome because I live on an island on lake superior and we have zero stores I could ever get these from so it's blessings all over!
This particular book (and yes I'm a fairy fan too lol :) is really fun and there is gorgeous small colored illustrations throughout all the books which help show the story also the words are a bit larger print so these chapter books are really perfect for many ages. I's say 5 or 6 - 100!
